Let's Meet the Dog Pack!!

Since I tend to talk about my dogs a lot, I thought I'd introduce them to y'all!!

I'll start with Bodie, she will be 10 in September. I found her November of 2000 at a local restaurant that I was working at, in the parking lot. I saw a customer "shooing" her out of the road, so I went out to see what was goin' on. I saw this little black puppy that was scared and hungry, so I picked her up went back in fixed her some water and told my boss I had to leave! The next day I took her to the vet, he said she was no more than 5 weeks old and a pure bred mutt, so we gave her her shots, a flea & tick bath and I brought her home! I was just 18 and my best friend had been killed in a car accident that August, I found Bodie exactly 4 months after Lindsay passed. My mom said that there was no way she was going to make me give her up. Bodie has always been a very nurturing dog, she has OCD & is a bit neurotic, but she is the sweetest girl ever!

Daisy Mae is an 8yro Black Lab, who is also a rescue. Summer of 2002 (I think) Bodie kept bring home a pretty lab from down the street, we soon found out that she had been abandoned and was left with no food or water on a 4ft chain with no shelter. My mom is as much of an animal over as I am, so we decided to keep her! She was infested with fleas and ticks, and in much need of some TLC. We took her to the vet, and got her all fixed up! We say that she is Bodies dog since she's the one who found her! Daisy is a great big teddy bear, we couldn't have asked for a better baby!

Kula is my baby even though he is 6 years old! I got him when I was living in Virgina Beach, and he is the one good thing that came from my marriage (and divorce!). I was at the mall and went into a pet store, they had lots of puppies, I had no intention of getting one. That's when I saw him...a tiny 8wk(ish) old English Bulldog, with fawn & white fur and it looked like a little whith paint drop on top of his head! I knelt down to look in his cubical, put my hand on the glass and he put his paw up too. (Now I know you should never buy a pup at a pet store, but I look at it like I rescued him from that place!) That was all she wrote, and he has had me wrapped around his paw ever since! He loves the beach and taking dips in the ocean too, he also love children, and is a huge attention hog! People always say how handsome he is, he loots at the like "I know I am!!"

Now last but not least Max, he is a 2yro Bloodhound/Lab mix. A teacher at moms school had a AKC Bloodhound that she was getting ready to breed, but a couple days after she went in heat and was going to meet her stud the neighbors black Lab took advantage! She had 8 puppies, when mom saw the picture of Max, she said she had to have him! He is a redish tan and looks just like his bloodhound mother. He looks just like a Bloodhound but with shorter ears! He is a sweet pea, and a bit mischievous, the "knowledge" knot on his head seems to raise when he's up to something. Max was a great pup and never chewed anything, what he did & still does do is collects things. He will take stuff like toilet paper rolls; undergarments; pens; sheets; shoes; and anything else he can find, and hide them under my bed completly unharmed. He also loves fruit and veggies more than anything else!

Well there ya have it, that's our dog pack, they are an eclectic bunch, and they add so much love to our lives! Not to mention how entertaining they are!!
